The PDA Boys U19 MLS team capped off a phenomenal 2024/2025 campaign by claiming the MLS NEXT Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship and earned a coveted spot in the MLS NEXT Cup, held this past summer. The title marks another milestone for PDA’s nationally recognized boy’s program, which continues to develop elite players for the collegiate and professional pathways.

Competing in one of the toughest conferences in the country, PDA’s Boys U19 MLS team rose above the challenge vs. teams such as Philly Union (PA), Cedar Stars (NJ) and Bethesda (MD). Throughout the regular season, they showcased a balance of attacking flair and defensive resilience, consistently defeating top regional opponents and finishing at the top of the table. Their success in the Mid-Atlantic reflects not only team talent, but also PDA’s trademark depth—players stepping up across the roster to deliver big performances when it mattered most.

By winning the conference, PDA punched their ticket to the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs, the premier event in the nation for elite youth soccer. The competition, featuring the top clubs from across the United States and Canada, provided PDA’s Boys U19 MLS team the opportunity to compete against the best in the country under the eyes of college coaches, professional scouts, and U.S. Soccer staff.

PDA’s success in MLS NEXT continues to highlight the club’s ability to prepare players for the highest levels of the game. The U19 group features a mix of committed collegiate athletes and rising professional prospects, many of whom have already drawn attention for their performances at both the club and national level. Just a handful of players who helped the team achieve their goals Ethan Davis (Northeastern), Nicholas Berardi (Army) and Stepan Kapranov (Columbia). The Mid-Atlantic title adds to PDA’s growing list of achievements in MLS NEXT and underscores the program’s commitment to excellence on and off the field.

“Winning the Mid-Atlantic and competing at MLS NEXT Cup is a testament to the players’ hard work and dedication,” said Coach Stakiwicz, Head Coach of the PDA Boys U19 MLS team. “This group embodies what PDA soccer is about—development, character, and competing at the highest level. With the foundation set by this year’s championship run, PDA continues to strengthen its position as a premier destination for players seeking a pathway to college, MLS, and beyond. For the U19s, the experience of lifting the Mid-Atlantic trophy and battling in the MLS NEXT Cup will fuel their future journeys—whether at the next level of the game or in the classroom.”
