PDA North Boys ( Somerset) will use the ECNL and USDA to maximize player placement.
At PDA there will be a vertical integration of support that will encourage players to compete for roster places. PDA will be keeping the USSDA roster size to a manageable amount and look to promote players from the ECNL teams throughout the year, using this as a feeder system to support the teams. PDA will also be using the ECNL environment to supplement USSDA players into a highly competitive soccer league.
The Academy Program focuses on positively impacting everyday club environments to assist in maximizing youth player development across the country. The Academy values individual development of elite players over winning trophies and titles. The Academy sets the standard for elite environments for youth soccer clubs nationwide and is a part of U.S. Soccer's global leadership position in youth soccer that will impact thousands of players. The PDA Academy Pathway will continue to place players at the best colleges, national teams and professional clubs.
In modern soccer, no youth platform has sent more players to college, had more alums earn collegiate honors, and had more impact on the collegiate game. In the past two years alone, the ECNL has sent more than 2,500 graduating seniors to play women’s collegiate soccer, with 2,028 in NCAA Division I programs alone. 92% of the Class of 2017 – almost every high school senior in the league – will be moving on to play at the collegiate level.
“The ECNL provides a development environment where players can showcase their talent in front of hundreds of college scouts in the most professional atmosphere in the country,” said Jen Winnagle, ECNL Commissioner. “Players that first sparked notice at an ECNL National Event only a few years ago are now dominating every level of college soccer and starring in the NWSL. Every year, more and more ECNL Alums move on to change the game at in college soccer, with more than 3,900 ECNL Alums in Division I this past fall.”
The PDA ECNL Pathway will allow the top High School players to enjoy National competition and weekly challenging matches and events.
