PLAYERS DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY

TRYOUTS 2009 - 2010

Thank you for your interest in PDA. The PDA is a non-profit, federal tax-exempt organization committed to developing youth soccer in the USA. We seek to offer a challenging, competitive, and educational program in which our youth will develop their soccer skills and learn sportsmanship, citizenship and fair play.

The PDA is home to 27 boys and girls teams (U-8 – U-20). All teams train two to three times a week, with games on the weekends and occasionally during the week. Players are expected to commit to all training sessions and games. Expected annual tuition fee for each player on a U-8 –U-10 team will be approx. $1,100 for the 2009/2010 season and $2,200 for the full-sided U-11 – U-20 player. This fee will cover coaches’ salaries, expenses, tournaments, league registrations, referee fees, goalkeeper training, field maintenance and uniforms. A first year PDA player must pay a one-time equipment fee of $175.00. After that equipment fees are included in the annual tuition payment. Additional expenses depend on the travel schedule of each team, such as Regional and National Finals.

Players who choose to play on our Summer Super Y League teams are required to pay an additional $ 250.00 for the summer season.

Scholarships and payment plans are available for those families who may need financial assistance.

Tryouts will be a combination of short sided and large sided games. Players will be evaluated on the technical and tactical skills as well as physical abilities. Each age group will have at least 2 tryouts with additional tryouts at the discretion of the coach. Each coach will announce at their tryout when these additional tryouts will be and you will receive an e-mail or phone call if you are invited back. If you do not receive notification by this announced time, unfortunately, we are unable to offer you a spot at this time. However, we thank you for trying out and we hope you will continue to play and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer.

Players who are selected and choose to play at PDA must make a full year commitment to their team.
