May 18, 2007 -- The Players Development Academy is excited to
announce that it will join 17 other elite national programs in
launching the Red Bull
National League for under-16 and under-15 girls in the fall of 2007. The U16 PDA Fire team,
coached by Tom Anderson, and the U15 PDA Tsunami team, coached by Mike Gould, will be the first PDA teams to participate in the league.
"The PDA is excited to participate in
the Red Bull National League, which is comprised of the top girls
soccer clubs from across the country, said Mike O'Neill, PDA Girls
Director of Coaching. "Selection to this league reflects the
consistent success of our teams on the national level and the
reputation of the PDA club for developing top-level players. This
league is going to change the landscape of elite girls soccer in the
United States. Our players will have multiple opportunities to compete
against the best players from across the country, while gaining great
exposure to hundreds of college coaches, as well as US Youth Regional and
National staff coaches."
